the ones you must be sure about are
the line out (numbers) and the quick throw in the ball no longer needs to be thrown in straight but can be thrown in backwards toward your own line
so a quick throw is always an option
The scrum off side lines , now 5 meters for both sides. I should not need to point out the implications there
and the 22 mtr kick dead

Guys I also get the strong impression that the RFU will be making it a requirement for all coaches to attend the workshops.
I have the IRB DVD on the ELV,S and you will look stupid if you do not have an understanding of the implications.in a nutshell guys it all about SPACE AND PACE. get in touch happy to advise. and help out.. For the first time in along time you can use your imagination Like I said PACE AND SPACE……..

Martin, thanks for the excellent feed back.

I would agree with you, every effort should be made to attend. There are so many coaches & players with a misunderstanding of the ELV’s.

Forget what has been seen on TV – Super 14’s, etc – there are only 13 ELV’s, and none of them are in regards to down-grading penalties to free kicks or offside lines at the tackle!

I’ve already know of people coaching/planning the wrong things to their squads – just imagine what will happen in the first game of the season…….. how silly will the coaches look?

Get yourself onto a ELV workshop to find out what is effected!!!!

Ladies and Gents, having already attended an ELV workshop. I would strongly advise you to make every effort to attend one of the evenings at Totts or Stoke. The ELV,S open up a great number of coaching avenues, scrum, lineout to name just two and apart from the obvious requirements they have on your coaching it will really help your players if they understand the new experimental laws..

The survey could well be viewed as a waste of time, however the RFU have approached all the CCC’s to try and get the message out to as many people involved in rugby at a Grassroot level.

I would say that it appears that they feel there are problems with some of the ELV’s. So trying to get the Grassroots feed back on the potential impact has got to be a good thing, hasn’t it?

This survey is a waste of time .
Surely its a pre requisite to know what you are talking about to complete a survey and not just regurgitate the opinion of Stephen Jones .
